New Rugged Portable Printer - Datamax-O’Neil RL4
Posted by Kate Sparks
Datamax-O’Neil’s RL4 is the latest rugged label printer to hit the market. The new portable printer is specifically designed for the harsh environments of the manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, transportation, and logistics fields.
Following extensive market research, Datamax-O’Neil decided a new label printer was needed for their manufacturing and warehousing customers. The RL4 was designed not only to be durable, but to be portable as well. It can be installed on forklifts or carts, or worn on a belt so that label printing can be brought to the point of application.
The RL4 endures even the most punishing environments, and passes the MIL-STD 810F drop testing requirements. This requires the unit to be dropped 26 consecutive times from 6 feet to concrete. Even when tested at extreme temperature conditions, the RL4 continued to print. In addition to its durability, the RL4 is very easy to use. With a patent-pending design, workers are able to load and unload media using only one hand.
The RL4 is compatible with most popular warehouse management software programs, independent label design programs and remote management packages. In regards to security, the RL4 is compliant with WPA and WPA2 security and encryption protocols.
