Intermec Introduces a New Family of Barcode Mobile Computers
Posted by Kate Sparks
Intermec announced four new products all on one platform, the 70 Series.
The Intermec 70 Series includes four barcode mobile computers that share a common platform and similar capabilities. The mobile computers utilize both 1D and 2D barcode scanning, as well as an updated near-far scan engine to increase the distance and velocity of data capture. The series also includes wireless 3.75G WWAN, first in market 802.11n dual-band WLAN, and a managed services platform with remote device monitoring and diagnostics. Like Intermec’s other mobile computers, the 70 series is designed to be rugged. All four mobile computers have IP67 sealing, gorilla glass touch panels, and six foot drop specifications across all temperatures.

The 70 Series is designed for operation in a wide range of field mobility applications. Ideal environments for the mobile computers include:
CN70 – Field service, transportation and logistics
CN70e – Direct store delivery/route accounting
CK70 – Parcel delivery in courier, express and postal operations
